Marex has appointed Mack Dowdall as co-head of equities financing, Americas.
Based in New York, Dowdall will work alongside co-head Mario Venditti, and report into Vaughan Tredwell, head of capital markets US for Marex.
Prior to his promotion, Dowdall had worked as head delta one trader for Marex Capital Markets since 2021. He joined the firm following a stint at ED&F Man, which was later acquired by Marex.
Dowdall also held positions at BMO Capital Markets as trading strategist in equity derivatives, as well as at SALI as a hedge fund analyst between 2017 and 2018.
He has a degree in economics and finance from the University of Texas at Austin, where he specialised in applied statistical modelling.
