Euroclear has appointed Marc De Rycke as chief information officer, with Claus Norup taking on the role of deputy chief information officer.

Reporting directly to CEO Val茅rie Urbain, De Rycke will join the group executive committee.

Bringing over 30 years of experience within Euroclear, having first joined the firm in 1992, he most recently served as head of strategic initiatives.

Norup will report to both De Rycke and Urbain, leading the firm鈥檚 cyber defence strategy.

Together De Rycke and Norup will maintain a clear focus on production stability, cyber security, and resilience, while accelerating the technology contribution to Euroclear鈥檚 business and innovation agenda.

Speaking on the appointments, Urbain says: 鈥淢arc and Claus bring complementary experience and a strong understanding of Euroclear鈥檚 business, technology, and resilience priorities.

鈥淭ogether they will provide continuity and accelerate progress as we develop the next generation of financial market infrastructure.鈥
