Marex has appointed Charlie Woodcock to its outsourced trading team in Hong Kong.

Woodcock brings more than 20 years of experience across institutional trading and global markets to the role.

Most recently, he spent more than three years at Outset Global providing outsourced trading and execution services to institutional buy side clients across Asia.

Prior to that, he held trading roles at Zaaba Capital, Asiya Investments, and Nighthawk Capital, alongside earlier positions at Merrill Lynch and Louis Capital Markets.

His experience spans buy side, sell side, and outsourced trading environments, covering equities, derivatives, FX, and financing products across Asia's major markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Woodcock states: 鈥淢arex has built an impressive platform, and what attracted me was the combination of execution expertise, global reach, and a client-led culture that is focused on helping them grow and evolve.

鈥淲e're seeing investment managers become increasingly global in how they deploy capital, while also looking for greater flexibility and scalability in how they operate.

鈥淢arex is well positioned at the centre of those trends. I'm looking forward to working with clients across the region and helping them navigate opportunities across Asian markets.鈥

Throughout his career, he has supported a broad range of investment strategies, giving him deep expertise in market structure, liquidity, and execution across the region.

According to the firm, this appointment reflects Marex's continued investment in its global outsourced trading solution, which comprises more than 35 traders worldwide, and its commitment to supporting clients wherever they choose to trade.

Jack Seibald, global co-head of prime services and outsourced trading at Marex, states: 鈥淭he outsourced trading market continues to evolve as investment managers seek greater flexibility, specialist expertise, and scalable operating models.

鈥淎sia is a particularly important part of that story.

鈥淲e're seeing strong growth in demand from managers within the region, while an increasing number of global firms are looking for experienced local execution partners to help them navigate Asian markets.

鈥淐harlie is a strong addition to the team and further strengthens our ability to support clients through a global platform backed by regional expertise.

鈥淗is appointment reflects our continued commitment to investing in outsourced trading capabilities across Asia."
