Euroclear’s global Collateral Highway has achieved a key milestone, mobilising €2.5 trillion in collateralised transactions on a daily basis.

They attribute this surge to sustained growth in securities borrowing and lending (SBL) and repo volumes, alongside greater market adoption of equities as collateral for OTC derivatives.

Euroclear highlights the rapid market uptake of its Euroclear Collateral Optimisation Service, powered by Transcend, and the flexible Euroclear SelfSelect.

Supported by expanding activity across the APAC region, the Collateral Highway now services more than 1,000 clients globally.

The expansion activity directly aligns with the strategic roadmap outlined by Euroclear leaders earlier in the year, emphasising the firm's commitment to scaling data-driven solutions and establishing industry standards for collateral allocation.
